TODAY'S NEWS: There really was a Strategic Helium Reserve. For most of the twentieth century, America stood ready with the helium required to deploy a huge fleet of airships. Then we realized there wasn't a "Zeppelin Gap," and we cleared out our supply. Now there's talk of floating huge surveillance zeppelins over our cities, since they're cheaper and easier than satellites. Strange how our world works, isn't it?
