TODAY'S NEWS: TGIO stands for "Thank Gjothipax It's Over"*. NaNoWriMo is one of those activities where participants celebrate when they don't have to do it any more, like theater plays or prison sentences. Still, many actually enjoy NaNoWriMo during the month of November, despite the stress and frenzy. Perhaps other people actually will party at their TGIO celebrations, but all I feel like doing is sleeping.

*That's Gjothipax the Abyssinian Warrior-Poet, of course, who organized the original NaNoWriMo about 7,413 years ago.¹ However, participants may also thank other entities that start with G (e.g. "Goodness," "God" or "Grover from Sesame Street").
