TODAY'S NEWS: The entries for the Write The Dialog Contest have been received! There were fewer than expected, so the Judging Minions and I should announce our decision soon!
If you don't like Real World Issues encroaching on your webcomics, skip this next bit. Lest you think I'm making light of a serious subject, I'll suggest that people who would like to learn more about what Eldritch describes in Panel #1 could read Beren deMotier's "The Brides of March." As a memoir about what happened when Multnomah County issued marriage licenses to same-sex couples, it's a reminder that decisions made in the halls of government or at the ballot box have real-world impacts on people and their families. It's recommended reading, whether you already support marriage equality or if you don't yet understand that everyone deserves the right to marry the person of their choice.
(For The Sake Of Disclosure: Beren is a friend of mine, and I am briefly mentioned (but not by name) in her book. Just so you know.)
