I really liked the X-Files show, but Scully's continued "skepticism" bothered me. I mean, it's one thing for her to remain skeptical when evidence of Cryptids is only a few blurry frames on an amateur video. But when she's actually fighting strange creatures, week after week? Yes, she does at one point admit that there are "things she cannot explain," but to refuse to recognize that you're repeatedly confronting beings that are outside the realm of current scientific thought is not skepticism, it's denial.
